MARCH 28 2009 – EARTH HOUR (8.30PM LOCAL time)

Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007 and now has spread globally. The WWF (World Wildlife Fund) aim to reach a target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to the world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.

By simply switching off your lights for one hour between 8.30 – 9.30pm is a vote for Earth. ‘Coast to Coast Tours’ is donating a New Zealand Native tree [tag No. B60], in support of Earth Hour. This will be planted at 8.30pm. Show your support for Earth Hour…….What will you be doing?
