Auckland has lots on offer…
Coast to Coast Tours knows the Auckland region well, because… we LIVE here!
The largest city of New Zealand with around one-third of the population living here!
Tāmaki-makau-rau, (Tāmaki with a hundred lovers), or “City of Sails”, as Auckland is often referred to,
is the largest Polynesian country outside of Polynesia! A vastly diverse range of nationalities from Pacific Islands, Asian, Middle Eastern and African.
A real melting-pot of cultures, customs, and cuisines.
There’s a huge selection of attractions in Auckland and day trips and tours to get you there. It is often more cost-effective to book a tour to visit these Auckland attractions because the transport price will be included; (getting around Auckland is often difficult due to too many vehicles on too few roads!)
…and we drive on the “wrong side” too!!!
Below are some of the fantastic attractions we can incorporate during your Auckland tours.
FYI: Coast to Coast Tours does complimentary pick-ups from all central city accommodation,
PLUS Cruise Ship ports.
Located in the Waitakere Ranges “rainforest” (400m above sea-level).
Panoramic views of Auckland city and harbours
To get there, choose our WEST AUCKLAND WILDERNESS TOUR
FYI: Coast to Coast Tours is legally registered with the Auckland Council to visit this Centre.
Located at the Westgate Shopping Complex, this A-mazing store is filled to the brim with genuine NZ wares.
If you want to get all your souvenir shopping done at once, then this is the stop for you!
FYI: Coast to Coast Tours gives a 15% discount voucher to use at the CraftWorld shop.
Wine-tasting has become a very fashionable form of tourism throughout the whole of New Zealand.
New Zealand wine is well-known and well respected, with wine exports reaching a record $1.5 billion.
ALL of our Auckland tours have you enjoy wine-tasting in the Auckland region.
FYI: Coast to Coast Tours includes the wine-tasting fees on every tour.
Just 45 minutes from downtown Auckland you are at water’s edge of the Tasman Sea.
This is a black iron-sand beach, not only popular with locals but a draw card for visitors.
This beach is so rugged and so different from the tranquility of east coast beaches, it’s a “Must See”.
Unfortunately for travelers, there is no Public transport to Muriwai…
FYI: Coast to Coast Tours is legally registered with the Auckland Council to visit this Beach.
And, Muriwai is home to the takapu gannet sea-bird… About 1,200 pairs!! Gannets nest Sept – April
But what makes this colony so special is that they nest on the mainland (one of the very few colonies in the world to do so),
This colony has since become world-famous, and another “Must See” while in Auckland.
FYI: Coast to Coast Tours is not only legally registered with the Auckland Council to visit this Beach,
but we ALSO give guided tours out to the colony.
Whoever your choice of tour operator may be to take you to visit Auckland attractions,
please be aware that tour operators are legally required to be registered to visit many of these attractions!
………………………….NOT ALL OPERATORS ARE REGISTERED.
Coast to Coast Tours holds ALL operating licenses, and carries ALL insurances.
